If you want your heresy to outlive you, you have to dedicate monuments to it. For that reason a new installation in the Jesuit church in Rome glorifying the destruction of all that the Catholic founder of the Jesuits, Saint Ignatius, stood for. It’s very appropriate in the sense that it makes very obvious the ugliness of falsehood and error especially when it’s promoted to supplant the true Catholic faith.
More akin to a fast food counter, this”altar” does not echo very well even the protestant claim that the Eucharist had to be served on a piece of furniture reminiscent of the imagined setting for the Last Supper.
The no doubt exorbitant amount of money spent on this could’ve been used to feed the poor; that would’ve been a better use for it.
