N.B. The Archbishop stops himself and makes a distinction, correcting himself on the notion that the Mass was changed “by” the Second Vatican Council. Because it wasn’t. It was changed “after” the council, by a closed committee under the leadership of the very questionable Annibale Bugnini. There is a very wide gap between what the fathers of the Council envisioned for the reform of the Mass and the “on the spot product” that was turned out by the committee long after the Fathers of the Council returned to their home dioceses.
