When you give your child a phone

 …you give them porn.

When they are alone with the phone or the computer they are alone with porn. They are not prepared to make the adult choices necessary to avoid the near occasions or say no.

When you give your child a phone you are consenting to their young unformed brains being present with dangerous things they are not prepared to handle and which can have devastating consequences. Matters which mature adults often are incapable of handling, And always morally wrong ones.

The things they see, that they shouldn’t see, they then need to learn to forget. To unsee. An adult task needing resources of maturity they do not yet possess.

Your child doesn’t need a phone. They need you. They need a good book. They need the outdoors. Exercise. Opportunity for friendships.

They need God. And prayer.

You can never have too much prayer.

Or too much God.
