Leo XIV:
“I perfectly understand that some will make requests: 'we want the recognition of gay marriage,’ or 'we want the recognition of trans people,’ so that this may be officially approved by the Church. People will be welcomed and received. Any priest who has ever heard confessions will have heard confessions from every type of person, with every type of life situation and choice. I believe that the Church's teaching will continue as it is, and that's all I have to say for now. I think it's very important. Families must be supported, what is called the traditional family. The family is father, mother, and children.”

N.B. Quite a different impression given here than Martin’s recent attempt to instrumentalize a personal audience with Leo XIV in order to yoke the pope to his anti-God and evil agenda.
