Cardinal Ambongo about West: “We Wish Them All the Best in their Disappearance!”

 

During a 16 January meeting of the Christian Family movement in Kinshasa, Cardinal Fridolin Ambongo, 64, the local Archbishop, didn’t only condemn Francis’ homosexual propaganda piece “Sodoma supplicans”, he also had something to say about the decadence of the West. In this context, he made a wish that provoked hilarity among the audience.

• "Because the West does not love children, they want to take it out on the family, the basic cell of humanity.”

• “Destroy the family and you destroy society.”

• “They do not love children, but to make the economy work they need to look for people abroad: little by little they will disappear. We wish them well in their disappearance!" (laughter in the church).

• “It is a decadent culture, it is the cultural and moral decadence of a society. They want to impose it on us.”

• “Today, the UN system is to push homosexual ideology through UN agencies, especially Unicef, WHO and others.”

• “In this way they impose their culture on us through funding: and if you don't accept it, they cut the money. But our culture in Africa is not like that.”

• "That is why, when on 18 December we received the document 'Fiducia supplicans' from the Holy See, signed by the prefect of the dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith, and countersigned by His Holiness Pope Francis, there was an uprising in Africa."

• "If we bless a homosexual, we also do it to say: your sexual orientation does not conform to God's will, and we hope that the blessing can help you change, because we cannot be the promoters of sexual deviation."
