Upon arrival at the Convento of the Cappuccini on Monday evening I gratefully offered holy Mass in the small chapel of the Frati after the flight from US and travel via air again from Rome to Venice airport.

On Tuesday I prayed the Te Deum in the church of San Luca in Verona after arrival by train from Mestre.

With the bell of San Luca to summon me I prayed the Angelus in the piazza surrounding the deservedly famous Arena of Verona, symbol of the city and perhaps second only to Rome in significance, emblematic of Roman dominance and cultural conquest. Now it is mostly known for hosting operas and concerts for the likes of Andrea Boccelli.
