Bishops are the ultimate authority on matters of the liturgy in their own dioceses. Except when they’re not, apparently. Rome knows best.
Card Roche and Pope Francis just signed a decree which now requires Bishops to obtain the Pope's approval for all TLMs in parishes, and for anyone ordained after TC to celebrate it.
This is not fear of increasing numbers of young priests who increasingly long for the holiness and beauty of tradition. This is fear of God. The wrong kind of fear of God. And despising the Holy Spirit. “Vox populi, vox Dei” seems to apply for these sorts only in cases of heresy & modernism.
The war intensifies. Only these men will determine what is holy, tradition & Catholic. Pure hubris.
