Is the money flowing into the Vatican the reason why they’re still in business?
From Gloria.TV:
Newly published Document: Vatican Officials Took Homosexuality of Marcial Maciel Seriously
As early as the 1940s and 1950s, the Holy See suggested that Marcial Maciel (1920-2008), founder of the Legionaries of Christ, was guilty of homosexual acts, drug use, financial recklessness, and mendacity.
The degenerate priest later also fathered three children and used his religious order to hide and finance a double life.
Maciel founded the Legion of Christ in Mexico in 1941 .
In 2012, some of Maciel's Mexican victims published on LaVoluntadDeNoSaber.com about 200 documents from the Congregation for Religious from the 1940s to 2002 .
Corriere.it (20 July) added to the known information one new document from the Vatican archives of the Pius XII papacy (1939-1958).
It is the original draft of a note dated 1 October 1956 note, written by Rev. Giovanni Battista Scapinelli of the Congregation for Religious. This was the day that Maciel arrived in Rome after being removed by the Vatican as superior of his order.
The Congregation's original draft called for Maciel to be barred from any contact with young seminarians or in case of infringement to suspend him from the priesthood.
The note proves that by 1956, at least some in the Vatican were taking reports about Maciel's homosexuality seriously.
However, in the later, final version, Rev. Scapinelli had removed the original punishment of staying away from students. This note of 2 October 1956 only ordered Maciel to seek medical treatment for a morphine addiction.
A few weeks later, the Vatican appointed outside clerics to investigate Maciel and his order.
Other documents state that the Congregation for Religious "could not take further action against Father Maciel because of the recommendations and interventions of high-ranking personalities".
Fr Scapinelli suggested that Pius XII was fully aware of the Maciel affair and had approved the removal as the Legion’s superior.
Pius' death in 1958 allowed Maciel's supporters to save his name and the order. Maciel was reinstated as superior of the Legion of Christ in early 1959
Only 50 years later, in 2006, Benedict XVI finally condemned Maciel to a "lifetime of penance and prayer" for, as ApNews.com puts it, "sodomising his young recruits".

So why have we still got the Legionaries of Christ and Regnum Christi cults? If the above is true, these priestly and lay cults are houses built on sand, and should both be suppressed as soon as possible. Why haven't they been? Are they giving money to the Holy See? That would be a big incentive for Rome to keep the show on the road. Cardinal Angelo Sodano protected them, and possibly gave glowing reports about them to John Paul II, who also praised them, but they are both dead now. Close the whole LoC / RC show down and deprogram and rehabilitate any good priests/lay people within that organisation for other apostolates. Those who refuse to be deprogramed / rehabilitated, if they are priests, laicise them, if they are lay people, stop them from holding positions of employment in the Church. And the first they can start with is that priest who plagues the internet - Fr Matthew P Schneider LC, who describes himself as "Priest, Religious, Moral Theologian, Bioethicist, Autistic, Writer, Social Media Guru, etc."
