“Dealing with Bastards”

A video has surfaced of the now Pope Leo XIV, wearing an absolutely stupid-looking university hat, criticising those who criticised the Evil Clown.
Because I feel directly – even in my insignificance – called into the question by a prelate who is now Pope, I will allow myself to *not* let bygones be bygones and say a couple of words on the matter.
Firstly: an Archbishop, or Cardinal, or priest, should never look in a way that is unbecoming to his office. Before the Age of Stupid you never saw this kind of stuff, and you should not see it now. You don’t wear a chef’s hat when you go to the restaurant. You are the guest there.
Secondly: the criticism of a Pope who betrays Catholic values and – as Francis, who was an evil bastard extraordinaire, used to do often – is an outright enemy of the Church is certainly not only allowed to every Catholic and to every Christian, but could be seen as a Christian duty in everybody who is articulated enough to do it in a way that helps others to better grasp proper Catholicism. And yes, people who are more robust in their expressions will be more robust in their anger. Ask Padre Pio how his anger was, and he was a great Saint!!
I do not know what kind of thinking this then Archbishop Prevost had, but to me he sounds like a cult member. The problem with that is that we are not in a cult, and we don’t want any Archbishop or Cardinal to make one of the Church, either.
The same prelate is now Pope. As Pope, he better get accustomed very fast to be criticised, and to attract all the criticism he deserves, because we are not a cult.
