How to make a triple candle for the pre-1955 Easter vigil

Use three 23 inch 51% beeswax candles. Tape together well at the bottom.

Use a knife to carve out a cavity for attaching to a broom stick.

Grasp at taped ends and immerse in hot tap water to soften for the space of three Hail Marys.

Separate candles at angle and then immerse again to fashion curves between candle ends and meeting point of candles.

Attach to the stick for lifting up during the procession into the church. Decorate with flowers or greens to cover the tape.
