Ad repellendas tempestates

Omnipotens sempiterne Deus, qui nos et castigando sanas, et ignoscendo conservas: praesta supplicibus tuis; ut et tranquillitatibus hujus optatae consolationis laetemur, et dono tuae pietatis semper utamur. Almighty eternal God, all the elements of nature obey your command.
Calm the storms that threaten us
and turn our fear of your power
into praise of your goodness.

Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.
