Thank you for the kind words and the nice post. For anyone who might read this comment, the promotion to Lieutenant Commander is important for a priest chaplain mainly because it allows him to remain on active duty (in the ordinary way of things) for up to twenty years. Otherwise, one is obliged to depart after another year or so.
