Sen. JD Vance, the Republican vice-presidential nominee, at an Oct. 20 faith rally in Waukesha, Wisconsin, accused the Biden-Harris administration of persecuting Christians and Catholics in particular.

In his speech, Vance also spoke about religious liberty and the impact of inflation, illegal immigration and drug addiction.

“There are a lot of Catholics … [who] I think rightfully feel abandoned by Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’ leadership, and they’re just looking for somebody to protect their rights and make this country an affordable and decent place to raise a family,” Vance said at the Sunday afternoon rally in the battleground state.

“I think that’s true of a lot of Catholics,” Vance said. “It’s true of non-Catholics, too. But we cannot have an American government that is persecuting Christians for living their faith. We should be rewarding people and encouraging people to live their faith.”

25th Anniversary of rebirth of traditional Latin Mass in Wroclaw

25th Anniversary: Polish Archbishop Attends Roman Rite (Pictures)

Monsignore Józef Kupny, Archbishop of Wrocław attended today a Mass in the Roman rite at the Holy Cross Collegiate Church in Wrocław, Poland. It was the 25th anniversary of the reintroduction of the Roman Mass in Wrocław.

Monsignor Kupny gave the homily and a blessing.

The celebrant, Rev. Ireneusz Bakalarczyk, said that it is impossible to measure the work of God's grace during the past 25 years. He added that the celebration of the Mass in the Roman rite is the “the most beautiful thing this side of heaven”.

And, "The liturgy is beautiful precisely because we ourselves are not the actors in it, but we enter into something greater than ourselves, which embraces us and makes us its own."

Archbishop Kupny dreams of "harmony in the Church between different movements and charisms". He seemingly attacked Catholics: "We cannot close ourselves in our pastoral groups. We must be open."

And, "Let us ask ourselves if we tend to close ourselves in our community or if we allow the Holy Spirit to open us to others".
