As one of the post Vatican II generation
my alienation grows the more I realise the extent of the lies we've been fed by popes, bishops, priests and teachers:
They LIED saying Vatican II inaugurated the Springtime of the Church
They LIED that a Hermeneutic of Continuity was possible regarding Vatican II
They LIED saying that the Novus Ordo Mass is a return to the ancient sources
They LIED saying the Catechism of the Catholic Church authoritatively expounds the Faith
They LIED pretending that the vast majority of bishops, priests and religious aspire to holiness
They LIED that they care about the salvation of souls
They LIED that they had renounced Satan, and all his works, and all his empty promises
It is a terrible thing to realise that you've been lied to all your life about something that is so cherished, so important
It must be like the agony of discovering the betrayal of adultery
