Upper Marlboro flooding puts Ford dealer "under water", Route 301 closed
Record flooding yesterday in Upper Marlboro, Md, resulted in the loss of reportedly millions of dollars worth of inventory at this Ford dealership located at the intersection of Routes 4 and 301.
WTOP reports the indefinite closure in La Plata of southbound U.S. 301, a main route into northern Virginia, as of Thursday evening. Maryland also evacuated some communities as the Susquehanna River threatens to flood to the highest level in 39 years, also reported by WTOP.
Weather Underground reports chance of thunderstorms will drop from 90% today to 30% tomorrow and continuing thus through Sunday making it reasonable to expect some flooding conditions will likely continue in southern Maryland.
