Two people, one of them a child, are dead after being swept away by flood waters in Fairfax County. The boy was killed in Piney Branch Creek in Vienna around 6 p.m. Another person was killed in a similar incident, but no further information is available.
Flash flood warnings have been extended until 12:30 a.m. in D.C., Montgomery, Prince George's, Arlington and the City of Falls Church. Warnings continue in Frederick, Howard and Carroll counties until 10:30 p.m.
