"Is that a Catholic thing?"

I'm at Reserve drill this weekend and praying my Breviarium Romanum. A Marine Master Sergeant asked me what I was doing and, in response to my description of this prayer of the Church in obedience to the dictum of the Lord, he asked that question.

I think I might start answering this frequent query by responding: "Only after the 16th century."
