The 2011 March for Life, the deafening silence of the media and the conspiracy against human life

The stranglehold over the media and government by the multimillion dollar abortion industry under flagship corporation Planned Parenthood (sic), conspiring together to reap bloody profits from the mangled and bloodied bodies of their preborn and postbirth murder victims is obvious when a supposed newspaper of record like WaPo annually sustains a deafening silence about the newsworthy presence of hundreds of thousands of citizens who travel to DC from all over this nation to stand up and be counted and to witness for the fundamental dignity of the lives of all preborn boys and girls.

2011 March for Life in Washington, DC: Emma is Pro-Life

She acted on her support for the fundmental principle of justice that all life is worthy of defending, along with many other young people, and witnessed for the sanctity of all preborn boys and girls by marching with hundreds of thousands of others in Washington, DC, on January 24th, 2011.

Emma is pro-life. How about you?

Support the Protect Life Act, H.R. 358

January 24, 2011

Dear Friend,

The health care reform bill, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), was signed into law in 2010. Serious flaws in this law must be corrected. To this end, on January 20, Reps. Joseph Pitts (R-PA) and Dan Lipinski (D-IL), with 88 other co-sponsors, introduced the Protect Life Act (H.R. 358). Similar legislation was introduced in 2010. This bill will bring PPACA into line with policies on abortion and conscience rights that exist in other federal health programs.

I urge you to send an e-mail to your Representative with the message: “Please cosponsor and support the Protect Life Act, H.R. 358. This bill will amend the health care reform law to preserve longstanding federal policies on abortion and conscience rights.” Please click on the link below to send your message. Please act today!

The Protect Life Act is one of three new bills on important pro-life issues introduced in Congress on January 20. The other two bills concern abortion funding and conscience protection. E-mail alerts will be sent out on these in due course. As always, more information on legislation can be found on nchla.org.

Thanks for all you do in support of life!

Sincerely,

Michael Taylor
Executive Director

Third Sunday, Ordinary Time. "Repent": Accepting the gift of freedom which prepares the way for the new life of the Kingdom

A woman called in to a Catholic question and answer radio show the other day and said she had been raised in Catholic schools where they were told that if someone ate meat on Friday and died without repenting they would go to hell. She then asked "what happened when the Church lifted the "ban" (love that word!)to all the people who ate meat on Friday, knew it was a sin and died without repenting? Did they all get out?"

It is the nature of hell that there are no "exits". So, one would have to answer "no" to this sympathetic intercession for the sake of the damned. Of all the things for which one would need to repent, however, I am guessing that eating meat on a Friday when abstention was gravely obligatory would be one of the easiest sins for which to repent. God's mercy is far beyond our understanding, and though He does respect the wishes of those who persist in rejecting Him to the end of their lives, He is sensitive to the faintest wisp of sorrow on the part of sinners and in Christ has poured out the infinite graces of redemption so that all may be saved and come to the knowledge of the Truth.
