What an excellent Christmas gift for the Catholics of St. Mary's County.
The EF Mass has once again returned to the place that it was first offered in the English speaking American Colonies - circa 1634.
Deo Gratias
The Catholic Church once again retreated into its mirky past and put a shield between the priests, the mass and the mass attendees. The joy of a shared participation in a mass with true understanding has been cast aside to benefit a very small minority of narrow minded catholics.
Certainly there is room in the Church for varying liturgical tastes. As there are many options open to those who choose to make use of them. I would not classify anyone as "narrow minded" for the making use of a valid option provided to them. In good faith we should be happy for those persons who are drawn closer to Christ by worshiping Him in this venerable form of Mass or the other various Rites that co-exist within the Church today.
